We at the Eastern Gate are working to provide you with fan translations of material other sites generally don't cover. Whether we do the translations ourselves, or reference other fan translators, the intent is to bring you in contact with as much information about new and old import games as we can, to help you get the most out of any importing experiences you may have. There are a lot of good games out there that never see the US market (and a lot more that don't hit other non-asian markets)...and most news sites only bring you information about imports that are slated for an eventual US release. But, why be bound by the peregrinations of SCEA and domestic translation companies if you don't have to be?

Now, what's been happening lately? I've been out of the translation scene for about a year now, but I'm going to start formatting the text I translated for the now-defunct Langrisser 3 translation project. If I start translating again, I'll probably pick up where I left on Farland Symphony before returning to the undone parts of Langrisser 3. WhiteBunny primarily does manga and anime translation in association with AnimeGamers.com (production company backing releases of Tenshi ni Narumon and Furi Kuri). I haven't kept up with Duplicity, but I imagine he's somewhere translating professionally these days. There is still some leftover text he worked on that may eventually get edited, formatted, and posted, but not anytime soon. Lastly, Feena brought the slick graphics that made the site's current look. ElfShadow is responsible for everything else, from site design and html to the previews of upcoming Japanese imports.
