• Langrisser 1:

Long ago was an era of swords and sorcery. "Langrisser" was a secret sword handed down from ages past which sealed Chaos, the god of mayhem. This was the legend of the fierce battle between the Darsis Empire, which sought this sword burning with ambition for continental domination, and the royal house of Baldea, who guarded the sword.

• Langrisser 2:

A hundred years later was an era in which the royal house of Baldea had already passed entirely into legend. The Leygard Empire planned on unifying the continent by reviving the dark sword "Alhazard." Elwin, descendant of the royal house of Baldea, recognized this, and sought the holy sword "Langrisser," so that he could fight the empire for the sake of peace.

Major Countries

• Larcuss Kingdom (tan)

This country is the wealthiest on the continent thanks to its trade connections and the goddess of the earth. Furthermore, in the floating fortress which hovers in the sky above the capitol city, Larcussia, is a super war machine capable of firing a beam attack with its magic cannon as far as the nation's border, which flawlessly protects against invasions of other countries. But, placing too much confidence in its power, they slackened their other military preparations. Only by the grace of Lushiris, the goddess of light, have demons been unable to invade this land.

• Rigüler Empire (green)

This empire is an amalgamate of countries which hold sway over the large north part of the continent. Therefore, since this land is almost frozen over year round, they are unable to grow produce. In order to preserve the growing population of the empire, they have decided to invade bountiful Larcuss. The general command of the invading army was entrusted to Field Marshal Altemüller, who divided his command among four subordinate generals. Also, the reigning emperor, Christ IV, is stricken with illness....

• Barral Kingdom (blue)

Bound in an alliance with Larcuss, this country is governed by Lord Wilder, who rules with a kind heart. The royal family of Barral has a longstanding friendship with the family of our protagonist, Diehärte. For that reason, Diehärte has a close friendship with Lord Wildar and Princess Frea.

• Velzerla (brown)

This is a dark country wherein dwell demons. Its leader, Böser, dreams of creating a world for the demon tribe by annihilating every last human being; to this end, he fuels the conflict of human against human through various schemes, so that he might exhaust the military might of humanity.
