Blue Dragons Square-Jump From the Marvelous Streams!
Jump Square magazine announced that Stan Lee and Hiroyuki Takei will produce a collaborative manga short for the April launch of Jump Square Second (Jump SQII) magazine. No details on the story have been released. Stan Lee is the former president of Marvel Comics, and co-creator of The Fantastic Four, X-Men, Spider-Man, and many other legendary comic book characters. Hiroyuki Takei is a Japanese manga author, and creator of Shaman King.
Viz Media announced that Blue Dragon will air on Cartoon Network this spring. Blue Dragon is based on an XBox 360 game of the same name, which featured character designs by Akira Toriyama, and a scenario by Hironobu Sakaguchi. Blue Dragon's anime adaptation began airing in Japan on April 7, 2007.
Bandai Visual announced that it will launch a promotional online service. The service will offer free, streaming episodes of Bandai Visual properties. The service will begin in late March, with the first episode of Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time. Free episodes of sola, True Tears, and Shifogumi are planned for future additions.
