Viz Solicits Chi's British Astro-Home

Mike Ferreira (Editor) — January 27th, 2008 — 6:02 AM

Viz recently announced plans to solicit a number of titles to American Broadcast licensors at the National Association of Television Program Executives Conference. Viz announced that they will offer at least ten potential titles for American broadcast. The titles available are as follows:

  • Bleach
  • Blue Dragon
  • Buso Renkin
  • Death Note
  • Deko Boko Friends
  • Honey & Clover
  • Hunter X Hunter
  • Monster
  • Nana
  • Naruto

Hunter x Hunter and Monster are both previously unannounced titles for which Viz has obtained the master license.

ADV Films is currently reorganizing its UK distribution arm. More than twelve titles have been placed on hiatus as ADV restructures its organization to suit a business and distribution partnership with an currently-unspecified British entertainment company.

Variety reports that a new director has been chosen for the upcoming CG-animated Astro Boy film. David Bowers (Flushed Away) will replace Colin Brady as director of the film.

The latest issue of Morning Magazine contains a formal announcement, stating that Kanata Konami's Chi's Sweet Home will receive an animated adaptation. No details on the program have been revealed.
