Bandai began the day, announcing an expected, and somewhat safe decision accompanied by another, more anticipated series. Please Twins (Onegai Twins), and DiGi Charat, Nyo! will both be released under the Bandai label. Bandai also announced that they will be working with a new distribution company, which will have no ill effects on the US market, and will hopefully make it easier to find Bandai titles on the Canadian market.
Geneon took the second panel, with a bevy of title announcements that covered all of their assets. For animation, Geneon has announced that they will be releasing Dokkaider, Stellvia, and Paranoia Agent: Satoshi Kon's new TV series. According to Geneon, the first volume Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi will be available with a box that will also contain a collectable capsule figure. When asked about Sailor Moon, Geneon stated that their license expires at the end of the year, with no possibility of renewal.
On the audio front, Geneon announced that they will be releasing Evangelion: Day of Second Impact, R.O.D. TV OST 1, FLCL OST 2, and the Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi OST. The Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi and FLCL CDs will both be released with drama tracks: the liner notes for these will be available online via Geneon's website.
ADV followed their standard procedure, by letting out at least one huge title for the crowd. The series du jour happened to be Princess Tutu. ADV also announced that they will be releasing the Excel Saga IMPerfect Collection (Projected MSRP $89.95), as well as two titles from the backlog: Sonic Soldier Borgman and My Dear Marie. While they had the chance, ADV premiered a few trailers for upcoming titles. Getbackers, Nurse Witch Komugi, and Sister Princess had their trailers debuted at this panel.
FUNimation had the most interesting story of the day when they announced that they had licensed what is possibly the most requested series of this generation. FUNimation announced that they have Kodomo No Omocha (Kodocha, Child's Toy) from licensing Hell, and will be releasing the series in 2005.
