Chinamation Mews around Viz's Heated Guy

Viz has announced that they will be appointing Hidemi Fukuhara as their Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer. Fukuhara, who will be replacing Satoru Fujii, is a 19 year veteran of Merrill Lynch. Fukuhara's duties will include directing and overseeing the company's financial concerns and developing Viz's strategic business plan.
Playhut Entertainment, the programming arm of the famous toy company, has announced that they own the exclusive rights to three "Chinamation" series. Way of the Warriors, Bird Island, and Deching will be be seeing domestic DVD release in many major Video and DVD retailers. Way of the Warriors is due to be released on May 4, Bird Island will see stores on June 1, and Deching will be released on July 6. All three titles will have a suggested retail price of $24.98 US
According to Animation World News Magazine, 4Kids has acquired the Tokyo Mew Mew anime series, and are set to release it on television this year under the title of Hollywood Mew Mew. 4Kids currently has no plans to release bilingual OR uncut versions of the series for DVD until there is no money to be made in the current situation.
MTV has officially announced that they will be airing Geneon's Heat Guy J on MTV2. The series is set to run with two new episodes every Friday, with reruns being shown over the weekend. The series will also see a rename to The City Guy when it is aired on MTV.
