AnimEigo News: The Kimagure Orange Road TV box set has been released, but has caused somewhat of an uproar among fans. The reason is that the opening credits sequences were placed in the extras part of the discs instead of in front of each episode. Due to the negative response by customers, the company is in process of fixing the discs, and estimates that the new discs will be ready in a couple of months. They then plan to set up an exchange program for anyone who wants the new discs. AnimEigo also reports that there are additional Kimagure Orange Road TV box sets available for purchase, for any interested parties that did not preorder.
In other AnimEigo news, the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross TV series is now available in three 3-disc boxes. The boxes cost $88 each.
Costume Hunter D: On Saturday, July 6th, Urban Vision will be holding a Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust costume contest at their Anime Expo booth. Some prizes up for grabs are posters, statues, and production cels.
