Bandai News: Akon will receive Shinichi Yamaoka as a guest this year. Yamaoka-san did character designs and direction for Pilot Candidate, and was also involved in several other popular series including Cyberteam Akihabara, Steam Detectives, and Love Hina. Akon is in Dallas, TX, and runs from May 31st to June 2nd.

VIDEO RELEASES:
Ranma 1/2 Forever, Vol. 2 will release in August on both VHS and DVD. The VHS version will be available either subtitled or dubbed, and retail for $19.98. The DVD will be bilingual, and retail for $24.98.

GRAPHIC NOVELS:

Tokyopop News: Tokyopop has announced that several of its manga titles would be released this summer. May and June will see releases of Initial D, Kodocha, Love Hina, Angelic Layer and Paradise Kiss. Appearing in July is Cardcaptor Sakura: Master of the Clow. All Tokyopop manga will be printed in true manga format (reading right to left, top to bottom), and will retail for $9.99.

Right Stuf Goes Postal: Right Stuf is (for a limited time) selling the 5 season-1 DVDs of Magic Knight Rayearth in a special pack for $75. This is not to be confused with the box set which retails for twice as much. This set contains just the five discs, and no box. Some may be able to part with the pretty box for a $75 savings though.
