Pretty Cure Gets a Sixth Series

Japanese retail solicitations for upcoming Bandai children's toys have confirmed concrete plans for an upcoming sixth series in the company's ongoing Pretty Cure franchise. The current TV series - Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo! - is scheduled to conclude in January, with the new series replacing it on February 1st, 2009. Series 6 is as of yet officially unnamed.
The toy solicitations refer to unnamed new characters, which suggests that the new series will follow a new continuity, with a new cast and story.
The initial two PreCure series shared a cast and storyline, but the third and fourth TV series served as a "reboot" for the franchise by introducing new protagonists and a new continuity.
More pretty than you can shake a stick at - but will they ever find a lasting cure?
