Crunchyroll announced that they are partnering with Toei Animation to distribute online episodes of several Toei properties. Digimon Adventure 02, Fist of the North Star, Pretty Cure (Futari wa PreCure), and Slam Dunk will join Crunchyroll's lineup in streaming, subscription, and download-to-own formats. The first episodes of First fo the North Star, Digimon, and Slam Dunk have already been added to Crunchyroll.

Toei has been dabbling in digital distribution since June, when Toei debuted Fist of the North Star and Slam Dunk on IGN's Direct2Drive service.. Digimon and Pretty cure joined the two debut titles shortly afterwards.

Crunchyroll's partnership with Toei marks the second Japanese anime company to partner with the streaming video service. GONZO Digimation also distributes titles through Crunchyroll.
