FUNimation licenses Afro Samurai: Resurrection

FUNimation snatched up the rights to Afro Samurai: Resurrection. FUNimation's license grants the company home video, merchandising, and master toy rights to the franchise. Afro Samurai: Resurrection will hit American DVD in February, 2009.
The original Afro Samurai, which starred Samuel L. Jackson, was the best-selling anime DVD title of 2007. The second season will add more star power to the cast with starring roles for Lucy Liu (Kill Bill, Domino) and Mark Hamill (Star Wars, Batman: The Animated Series).
