ADV re-acquires Battle Angel

ADV Films re-acquired the rights to release Battle Angel(Gunnm) on DVD. ADV will release a run of fewer than 10,000-copies of Battle Angel to American retailers. Battle Angel will retail at $19.99 and, while a release date has not been stated, AnimeNation reports that the feature will hit stores in the near future.
Battle Angel originally hit American DVD on December 17, 1999. However, ADV was forced to halt production on the feature after James Cameron purchased the American license to the Battle Angel franchise. As a result, Battle Angel has not been available in America for over seven years.
