FUNimation announces Kenichi

FUNimation announced that they acquired the rights to Kenichi. The series will be debut in America in January 2009. Currently, the format for the 50-episode's series release is unknown. Kenichi is FUNimation's first announced title for release in 2009.
Kenichi was originally aired as Shijo Saikyo no Deshi Kenichi(Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple). The show ran 50 episodes between October 6, 2006 and September 29, 2007.
