Live Action Death Note Heads To US Theaters

Viz Media announced that they will show the live-action adaptation of Death Note in American theaters. The film will run in 300 American theaters on May 20-21 at 7:30PM. The film will be preceded by a 20-minute feature on how the manga translated to reality, as well as a rare interview with director Shusuke Kaneko. Advance tickets will be released in two stages: The first wave will be exclusive to Shonen Jump email subscribers, who will have exclusive purchasing rights between April 18 and 20. From April 21, the general public will be allowed to purchase tickets via FathomEvents.
