RPGuy (Editor) — February 28th, 2008 — 11:28 PM

The April issue of Dragon Magazine revealed that a new Slayers anime series is in development. The members of J.C. Staff that worked on the original Slayers titles will also work on the new title. Fifty-two episodes are planned, but no story details are available. The new Slayers will premiere on Japanese television in May.

Moon Phase reports that a film based on Trigun is in the works. According to the announcement, the film will be an original story that promises a Vash vs. Wolfwood showdown. The film, which is scheduled to debut in 2009, will be directed by Satoshi Nishimura, who also directed the Trigun television series, and animated by Madhouse.

Manga publisher Infinity Studios announced that the company will shift all future titles to e-book format, beginning in March. The announcement also reveals that several discontinued titles will be revived as ebooks for continued release. An unspecified number of titles will continue to be released as hard copy books.
