The PiQ of the Newtype's Blazing Crystals Await
ADV announced that Newtype USA will be replaced by a new magazine. Titled PiQ, the magazine will cover anime, manga, video games, and other topics. ADV states that Newtype's discontinuation is the result of a difference in "corporate needs between the [Kadokawa Shoten, Newtype's] licensor and [ADV] Newtype USA's parent company."
Yuriko Mori, composer for anime such as Karin and Inu Yasha, revealed that she has recorded the opening theme song to a previously unannounced anime series on her blog. The new program, titled Crystal Blaze, is scheduled for an April premiere.
